Bengals re-sign Winston, tender two

Published

on

Right tackle Eric Winston re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Tuesday, when the club extended tender offers to linebacker Emmanuel Lamur and cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris.

Winston, the NFLPA president, played four games with the Bengals last season after starter Andre Smith was injured. He has 121 career starts.

Lamur, a fourth-year restricted free agent, may negotiate with other teams, but the Bengals could retain him by matching any competing signed offer.

Lewis-Harris is entering his third season. The tendered offer assures the Bengals of his exclusive NFL rights for the season. He has the option of signing the tender or negotiating a longer deal with Cincinnati.

Lamur played his first Bengals season as a starter in 2014 and ranked third on the team in tackles (90), despite missing two games to an injury. He had two interceptions and led the front seven in passes defensed (seven).
