Bears WR Marshall out of hospital
Chicago Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall is out of the hospital and will miss the final three games, coach Marc Trestman said Monday.
Marshall suffered two broken ribs and a collapsed lung in the Bears’ loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night and will be placed on injured reserve once the Bears decide on the best move. He had spent the past three days in the hospital due to the lung injury.
The Bears play the New Orleans Saints next Monday.
“We’re working through some roster situations, and I think that will all work itself out over the next few days,” Trestman told the Chicago Sun-Times. “As of now, he’ll be out of Monday night, obviously. (The IR move) will come to fruition when everything is worked out roster-wise.”
Marquess Wilson is expected to replace Marshall, who finishes the year with 61 catches for 721 yards. Wilson, a seventh-round pick by the Bears in 2013, has five catches for 40 yards this season.
