Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett was named to the Pro Bowl, replacing New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is unable to participate after his team advanced to the Super Bowl.

The announcement Monday was among the changes for the annual all-star game, which will take place on Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., the site of Super Bowl XLIX.

Bennett’ is the first Bears tight end to be named to the Pro Bowl since Pro Football Hall of Famer Mike Ditka received the honor for the fifth time following the 1965 season.

In 2014, Bennett led all NFL tight ends with a career-high 90 receptions, ranking third at his position with 916 receiving yards and tied-for-seventh with six receiving touchdowns. His 90 receptions set a single-season franchise record for tight ends, breaking Ditka’s mark of 75 set in 1964.

Arizona Cardinals cornerback Antonio Cromartie replaced cornerback Richard Sherman after the defending champion Seattle Seahawks won Sunday to head back to the Super Bowl.

Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown was added to the roster, replacing Philadelphia Eagles tackle Jason Peters due to injury.

Washington Redskins running back Alfred Morris replaced LeSean McCoy of the Philadelphia Eagles due to injury. In 16 games, Morris rushed for 1,074 yards on 256 carries and scored eight touchdowns, becoming the first player in Redskins history to rush for 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons.

Cleveland Browns safety Donte Whitner replaced Seahawks safety Earl Thomas. Whitner started all 16 games at strong safety in 2014, playing every defensive snap in 14 of those contests and leading the Browns with 106 tackles.

San Diego Chargers special teams standout Darrell Stuckey was tabbed to replace New England’s Matthew Slater.
