Bears CB Jennings arrested in Georgia

Chicago Bears cornerback Tim Jennings was arrested and charged with speeding, reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol on Wednesday.

Jennings was released from the jail at 3:41 p.m. according to court records. He was admitted into the Gwinnett (Ga.) County Detention Center earlier Wednesday.

“We are aware of the reports regarding Tim Jennings’ arrest,” the Bears said in a press release. “We are currently gathering information to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the situation.”

Jennings signed a four-year, $22.4 million extension in January 2014.
