Arizona State QB Kelly out (foot)
Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly, who injured his foot in Saturday’s 38-24 win at Colorado, will miss the Sept. 25 game against UCLA, CBSSports.com reported Monday.
Kelly also could miss the Oct. 4 game at USC but is expected back for the Oct. 18 game against Stanford at the latest, the CBS source said. The Bruins do not play this week.
ESPN reported Sunday night that the No. 15 Sun Devils (3-0) do not expect Kelly to play against the Bruins. Kelly left the Colorado game in the third quarter after falling awkwardly from a tackle when trying to escape the pocket. He came back to the sidelines on crutches and wearing a protective boot.
The Sun Devils will likely start junior Mike Bercovici in Kelly’s absence.
