Andre Johnson Not Taking Sides on Texans QB Change
Veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson has hardly prospered during Ryan Fitzpatrick’s nine-week tenure at the Texans’ helm, but his reaction to the Texans’ quarterback change – announced by coach Bill O’Brien Tuesday – was muted.
Johnson said of Ryan Mallett, who will start at Cleveland in the Texans’ next game, Nov. 16: “I think the guy can throw the ball.” But then he quickly added, “I think both of them can. I think the world of both of them. I support both of them. Both of them are my teammates. Whoever’s out there, Mallett or Fitz, I’ll give it my best to get open. I feel comfortable with both guys.”
