Aaron Rodgers: “I’ll Be Out There And Ready”
Aaron Rodgers provides an update on his playing status against Bears.
It seems like every week we’re discussing the health of Aaron Rodgers and rightfully so. Many consider Rodgers to be the best quarterback in the world, but he hasn’t quite been 100 percent for the majority of the season. However, he’s still putting up MVP type numbers.
Through 13 games, Rodgers has a touchdown to interception ratio of 32 to 7 while throwing for 3,529 yards. Considering he’s doing this with a bad calf is utterly remarkable.
With the Chicago Bears on the schedule this weekend, Rodgers provided an update on his playing status.
“It’ll be about pain management on Sunday, but the good thing is I’ll be out there,” Rodgers said. “I’ll be out there and ready.”
Rodgers continued.
“I’ve dealt with a lot of injuries over the years, and you just learn about pain management and how to keep yourself in the best shape to play on Sunday, and then playing with pain,” Rodgers said. “Obviously, I hurt it on the third play of the game and had to gut it out through some very difficult pain speaking to me at times and obviously slowing me down with some of the stuff I’m good at moving in the pocket or outside the pocket.”
With the Packers currently fighting for their playoff lives, there’s no way Rodgers would miss a game of this magnitude.
