49ers RBs Gore, Hyde injured
SEATTLE — The San Francisco 49ers lost a second running back in the same game when Carlos Hyde limped off the field late in the third quarter Sunday after sustaining what appeared to be a knee injury.
In the second quarter, 49ers starting running back Frank Gore went out with a game-ending concussion.
Hyde’s left knee bent awkwardly on a tackle by Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner. Hyde was able to limp off under his own power and was replaced by Alfonso Smith for the final two plays of the drive.
At the time he exited, Hyde was San Francisco’s leading rusher with 55 yards on six carries.
