49ers pick up OT Hooey

The San Francisco 49ers claimed offensive tackle Sean Hooey off waivers from the New York Jets on Friday.
The 6-foot-9, 304-pound Hooey had signed with the Jets on Jan. 23 but was waived Thursday.
Hooey, 24, originally signed with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in May 2013 and spent time on the team’s practice squad in 2013 and 2014.
At the University of Cincinnati, Hooey played in 27 games and started six.
