49er QB Kaepernick denies fight with LB Smith
The Sports Xchange
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco on Saturday denied that he had an on-field altercation this week with linebacker Aldon Smith, who was released by the team on Friday after his latest incident off the field.
Media reports indicated that the altercation might have played a part in Smith’s arrest in Santa Clara, Calif., for DUI, hit and run and vandalism.
MediaTakeOut.com, indicated that part of the reason Smith had been arrested is because he vandalized Kaepernick’s Mercedes.
“I don’t drive a Mercedes, let’s put it that way,” Kaepernick told the San Jose Mercury News.
Smith’s agent also denied the story.
“That info out there is absurd on Colin’s car,” Doug Hendrickson said.
Added 49er wide receiver Anquan Boldin: “There was no fight out here,” Boldin said. “I don’t know where that comes from.”
When told by reporters that it was on TMZ, Bolden said with a laugh: “You all listen to TMZ? Boy.”
Smith was released after his fifth off-the field incident since 2012.
