The San Diego Chargers announced Wednesday they have agreed to terms with veteran tackle Chris Hairston on a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not released.

Hairston was drafted in the fourth round in 2011 by the Buffalo Bills. His new offensive line coach in San Diego, Joe D’Alessandris, held the same role with the Bills at that time.

The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Hairston has appeared in 42 career games and all 15 of his starts came under D’Alessandris.

He missed the entire 2013 season after being placed on the reserve/nonfootball-injury list, but returned in 2014 and played in all 16 games.
