Chip Kelly is still looking to add weapons to his new offensive arsenal. Per a source, the Philadelphia Eagles had versatile RB/WR Ross Scheuerman from the Lafayette Leopards in for a visit.
His primary position is running back which he excelled in during his collegiate career, amassing 3,504 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns. Even though he played tailback in college, several NFL teams are also considering the option of lining him up at receiver. He added 129 receptions for 1,129 yards and eight touchdowns proving he is a valuable and versatile offensive play-maker.
Scheuerman saved his best for last when he carried the football 45 times for 304-yards and three touchdowns in his final college game. He carried the hot streak into the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl where he impressed NFL Scouts that eventually help secure him an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine.
A guy like Scheuerman (four-time All-Patriot League selection at tailback) in the Philly offense really makes the imagination run wild thinking how Kelly would use him in his fast pace offensive system.
