The Oakland Raiders signed Green Bay Packers safety Sean Richardson to a restricted-free-agent offer sheet.

The Packers tendered Richardson at $1.542 million for next season, and they have five days to match the Raiders’ offer to retain him.

If Richardson leaves for the Raiders, the Packers will receive no compensation since Richardson was an undrafted rookie and was tendered at the lowest level.

Richardson had neck surgery in January 2014, but he recovered to play in all 16 regular-season games and two playoff games for the Packers in 2014. He totaled 22 tackles and four assists.

Richardson, 25, will be entering his fourth NFL season after being limited by injuries his first two years as a pro.
