The San Diego Chargers signed guard Michael Huey and waived center Jeff Baca and nose tackle Chas Alecxih on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 317-pound Huey signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2011 out of Texas. He started 20 games at both right and left guard during his four-year career for the Longhorns, playing in a total of 47 career games. He was released Aug. 3 and signed by the Chargers less than a week later. The Chargers waived Huey at the end of training camp, and he spent the next three seasons in the Arena League. Huey was signed to the Washington Redskins’ practice squad this past November but was released in December.

Baca, 25, was brought in as a depth player last season and was active for two games while Alecxih did not see any regular-season action in 2014.
