Bengals bring back DT Still

Published

on

Calling it a good week would be to undersell the past few days for defensive tackle Devon Still, who re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals two days after doctors informed him his 4-year-old daughter is likely cancer free.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus said “Congrats to Devon Still on signing his contract with the Bengals. It has truly been a special week for you and your family,” in a Twitter post (@RosenhausSports) early Thursday.

Still is a rotational player who spent his first three seasons with the team coming out of Penn State, where he was an All-Big Ten pick.

Still’s recent past has been dominated by the emotional journey with his daughter. He said Tuesday on Instagram “We got Leah’s MIBG Scans back tonight and the doctors told us they didn’t see any active disease in her body!!!”

The Bengals and NFL have been visibly supportive of Still and his daughter, honoring her during one game last October and contributing a portion of jersey sales to the family for treatments.
