Houston ships QB Keenum to St. Louis
The Houston Texans Tuesday traded quarterback Case Keenum to the St. Louis Rams for a 2016 seventh-round draft pick, according to numerous reports.
Earlier in the day, the Texans had tendered Keenum as an exclusive rights free agent.
The former University of Houston star took over as the Texans’ starting quarterback in the middle of 2013. Houston released Keenum during training camp last season, but re-signed with the team after injuries to quarterbacks Matt Schaub, Tom Savage and Ryan Mallett.
