Oliver to stay with Fox’s No. 2 NFL crew
Pam Oliver will remain with Fox Sports’ No. 2 broadcast team for NFL games for the next two seasons.
Oliver admitted to being disappointed at being replaced by Erin Andrews as the sideline reporter with the No. 1 team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman last season, and 2014 was expected to be her final one as a sideline reporter. However, Fox Sports President & COO Eric Shanks and Executive Producer John Entz noticed Oliver’s work with the booth team of Kevin Burkhardt and John Lynch and the sides agreed to keep the trio together through the length of Oliver’s contract, according to SI.com’s Richard Deitsch.
“I wasn’t that interested in just one year. So this is great. I know that for the next two years we are a true team and I am not some guest,” Oliver said, per Deitsch. “The decision (last year) was made and I had to accept it and it took me a little bit. There was never any animosity or hard feelings; I was just heartbroken.”
