Jaguars Adding Pieces To Their Offense
The Jaguars have agreements with two players who will really help their offense.
The Jacksonville Jaguars entered the “legal tampering” part of free agency with the most money to spend of any team in the NFL.
They are reportedly doing what they can to improve one of the league’s worst offenses as they reportedly have agreements with former Denver Broncos Pro Bowl tight end Julius Thomas as well as former Dallas Cowboys swing lineman Jermey Parnell.
Thomas will be the first legitimate mismatch the Jaguars have enjoyed on offense since the days of wide receiver Jimmy Smith. Thomas will likely play in the slot and is too fast for linebackers and too big to be covered by safeties.
Parnell will step in and start, likely at right tackle for the Jaguars. Jacksonville had a revolving door there last year with undrafted veteran Austin Pasztor getting most of the snaps.
Although the team had aspirations of landing high-profile, high-dollar free agents such as Ndamukong Suh and Randall Cobb, the Jaguars have bettered their offense and still have plenty of money to spend… all before free agency officially begins.
