Reports: Chargers reach deal with CB Flowers
The San Diego Chargers reached agreement with impending free agent cornerback Brandon Flowers on a four-year, $36 million contract, according to multiple reports Sunday.
The deal is expected to be signed Tuesday, when free agency officially opens.
Flowers signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Chargers in June, and he performed well in his first season with San Diego.
Flowers, 29, had 52 combined tackles and led the team with three interceptions while starting all 14 games in which he played.
San Diego was fourth in the NFL in passing yards allowed in 2014, yielding an average of 214 yards per game.
Flowers played his first six NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
