Bills Think Stephon Gilmore Can Be Shut Down Corner

In terms of popular opinion from the fan base, perhaps no other player on the Buffalo Bills roster has created more of a schism than cornerback Stephon Gilmore. While many will argue that Gilmore has gotten progressively better over his first three seasons in the league, there has been a contingent of people that view the cornerback as closer to a first-round bust.

Just don’t count new Bills head coach Rex Ryan on the same list as the group that think the latter of the two aforementioned viewpoints.

“Gilmore is going to be one of the elite… corners in this league. I believe that,” Ryan told WGR Sports Radio 550 Thursday morning. “Where people miss it sometimes is, how many balls get caught on him? They don’t complete passes on him.”
