Michael Bennett Thinks Hawks’ D is No.1 in This Era

Every era is different. Watching Dick Butkus on TV recently, Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett said the former Bears linebacker wouldn’t even have a paycheck if he played today.

“You can’t even have your socks up too high and you get fined $11,000,” Bennett said.

Not that he’d want to play then, adding “They didn’t get paid enough.”

To him, the Seahawks have the best defense the game has seen in a while.

“I think we’re No. 1 right now in our era. It’s all based off era. Everybody’s different,” Bennett said. “Right now, we feel like we’re the best and we’re playing the best. I feel like we’re No. 1 right now.”
