Hillk to start at running back for Bengals

Published

on

The Cincinnati Bengals plan to start Jeremy Hill at the running back spot on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

Giovani Bernard said on the team’s website that Hill, a rookie, would make the start and that Bernard would play any role needed to help the team win.

Bernard and Hill split carries over the past three games, but offensive coordinator Hue Jackson said on Wednesday he wanted to make one of the back a workhorse.

“I’m used to having one guy kind of dominate some carries because in order for backs to be really good, they’ve got to get lathered up to play,” Jackson said on the team’s official website.

Apparently Hill will be the workhorse. He has rushed for 728 yards this season while averaging 4.8 yard per carry.

Bernard has run for 557 yards and a 3.9 average per carry.
