Roethlisberger: No breaking news; wrist is fine
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wants everyone to know that his right wrist is not injured.
Roethlisberger was hit on the wrist by New Orleans Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton during the Steelers’ 35-32 loss to the Saints on Sunday in Pittsburgh, leading to speculation this week that he had a broken bone.
Other than some of the fingers going numb, Roethlisberger said he wasn’t affected, which is contrary to a report Wednesday that indicated he had a broken bone in the wrist.
“There is absolutely nothing wrong with my wrist,” Roethlisberger said, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Roethlisberger said the feeling returned to his fingers and he is ready to play Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincinnati.
