Buccaneers FB Lane placed on injured reserve

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers placed fullback Jorvorskie Lane on Injured Reserve because of a right leg injury, the team announced Monday.

The Tampa Bay Times reported Lane has a broken bone in his lower leg and will have surgery Tuesday. He is finished for the season.

Lane played in nine games this season, including four starts. He had three rushed for 58 yards and one reception for 3 yards.

Lane is the only true fullback on the team. Backup tight end Luke Stocker filled in at fullback after Lane was injured on Sunday.

The Bucs might have to sign a fullback for the rest of the season.
