Romo starts; Jones denies curfew report
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo started against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, despite a back injury.
The Cowboys listed Romo as probable on their injury report Friday. Romo missed practice on Wednesday and was limited Thursday before fully participating Friday.
Romo was injured two weeks ago against the Washington Redskins. He sustained two fractures, according to reports.
Also, team owner Jerry Jones denied a report by NFL Network that 20 Cowboys missed Friday’s curfew.
According to the report, a source said that “coaches are extremely frustrated” and “team veterans are upset” about the players missing the team’s midnight curfew.
Jones told Ian ESPN Radio that there “was no curfew violation by any Cowboy players” and that there was not even a curfew.
This goes against a comment made by coach Jason Garrett earlier in the week.
“We get done with our work at 5:15 p.m. every day and then curfew is at midnight, so the guys have some time on their own,” Garrett said.
