Report: Five games in London next year
The NFL will play five games in London next season, according to the Daily Mail.
The news comes the same day the Detroit Lions were playing the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium. It is the second of three games in London this season.
In September, the Miami Dolphins defeated the Oakland Raiders at Wembley. In November, the Dallas Cowboys will play the Jacksonville Jaguars at the same venue.
All three games at Wembley sold out.
The NFL is expected to announce next year’s London games soon.
British treasury chief George Osborne told the Evening Standard that its government wants an NFL team in London and will do whatever is needed “to make this happen.”
The NFL has been playing regular-season games in London each year since 2007.
