Colts’ Wayne out for Sunday
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne will miss his first game of the season after being declared out Friday.
Wayne, who has an elbow injury, will not be available for Sunday’s game against the Steelers at Pittsburgh.
Wayne, who had a torn ACL in 2013, is second on the team with 38 catches and 434 yards, with one touchdown.
Wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Donte Moncrief are potential replacements. A decision won’t be announced on Wayne’s replacement until game time.
The Colts also may be without running back Trent Richardson, who is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. In addition, tight end Jack Doyle (knee) is listed as questionable.
Cornerback Darius Butler (ankle), defensive tackle Arthur Jones (ankle), offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus (rest) and linebacker Erik Walden (rest) are listed as probable.
