The Atlanta Falcons placed center Peter Konz on injured reserve, making him the team’s fifth offensive lineman to be lost for the season.

The team signed journeyman Jonathan Scott to replace Konz, who suffered a knee injury in the Falcons’ 29-7 loss to Baltimore on Sunday.

Konz is the second starting center the Falcons have lost this season; Joe Hawley suffered a torn ACL on Sept. 30. Also out for the season are tackles Sam Baker and Lamar Holmes and guard Mike Johnson.

Konz was a second-round pick in 2012 and has started 28 games.

Scott, 31, hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2012 with the Chicago Bears. He also has played for Detroit, Buffalo and Pittsburgh.
