Jags LB Posluszny out for season
Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn pectoral in the 24-6 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
The team said Posluszny will have surgery this week and placed on injured reserve.
Posluszny leads the Jaguars in tackles with 69. He also has two sacks and one pass defense through seven games.
“It’s a big loss,” Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said. “That will be a difficult one.”
Bradley also said defensive end Andre Branch suffered a groin injury in the game and would miss about six weeks.
Branch has two forced fumbles along with 13 tackles this season.
