Cardinals’ Baker draws fine for Palmer hit
The NFL announced Friday that Washington Redskins defensive tackle Chris Baker was fined $10,000 for dirty play during last Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Baker grabbed Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer by the face mask and pulled off his helmet in the Redskins’ 30-20 loss to Arizona. There was no penalty on the play.
Earlier in the season, Baker was fined $8,268 for his role in a scrum at the Redskins-Philadelphia Eagles game after his hit on Eagles quarterback Nick Foles. Baker was flagged on that play, but the league said afterward that the hit was legal.
