NFL fines Vikings’ Exum, three others
Minnesota Vikings safety Antone Exum and three other players were fined by the NFL on Friday for various infractions.
Exum was hit with a $22,050 fine for his illegal block last week against the Green Bay Packers. He delivered a blind-side hit on the Packers’ Jarrett Bush during a punt return in the second quarter of the Oct. 2 game.
Tampa Bay wide receiver Louis Murphy was fined $11,025 for directing abusive language at an opponent after a Buccaneers touchdown in a 37-31 loss to the New Orleans Saints last weekend.
Seattle right tackle Justin Britt received a $8,268 fine for a late hit on Bashaud Breeland of the Washington Redskins on Monday night. Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin violated NFL uniform rules and was fined $5,512 for wearing white cleats when the rest of the team wore black.
