Steve Smith: “It Is Probably My Last Game”
Find out if this Sunday will be Steve Smith’s last game.
After having his 2015 campaign cut short due to an Achilles tendon injury, many believed Steve Smith was ready to hang up the cleats then. However, the future Hall of Famer refused to end his career on that note.
At the age of 37, Smith totaled 67 catches for 765 yards with five touchdowns. Unfortunately, Baltimore came up one win short of winning the AFC North, which means the team will miss the playoffs.
As the team prepares for their regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals, it’ll likely be the last time we see Smith on the gridiron.
“Football is a conduit. It’s a platform, good and bad, but it gives you an opportunity,” Smith said. “Football’s given me probably more than I probably could give football back. For 2016-17 and beyond, it is probably my last game.”
Smith is a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro.
