Rice to meet with investigators
Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, his wife Janay and former attorney Michael Diamondstein will speak with those involved in the Robert Mueller and NFLPA’s investigations, according to ESPN.
Rice and his wife, however, will not be interviewed together.
As Rice has prepared to cooperate in each investigation, his new attorney, Peter Ginsberg, decided to have the interviews done for both investigations at the same time.
The interviews have reportedly not been scheduled yet. That will occur after U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones hears the appeal filed by the NFLPA on behalf of Rice over his indefinite suspension.
Rice was suspended Sept. 8 for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy after a video of Rice punching his then-fiancee and knocking her unconscious. The incident occurred in an Atlantic City, N.J., casino elevator in February.
Commissioner Roger Goodell initially suspended Rice for two games. After video of Rice punching Janay was released publicly, Goodell suspended him indefinitely and the Ravens released him.
