Malik Jackson Has Something To Prove vs. Broncos

See why Malik Jackson is motivated for Broncos game.

Despite the Jacksonville Jaguars sitting with a record of (2-9), defensive tackle Malik Jackson is eager to face off against his former team for the first team. In the off-season, the Denver Broncos were well aware of the complications of keeping their historically great defense altogether. Obviously, Von Miller was the primary player to satisfy, which left Jackson on the open market.

Jackson ended up signing a six-year deal worth $85.5 million and he’s ready to show his former team why he was worth every single penny.

“I can’t be selfish even though it’s a lot of things for me ’cause it is my old team and I know a bunch of those guys,” he said. “It should be fun to see those guys again, but we have to go out there and get a win and that’s where my focus is this week.”

Sure, there’s going to be tons of emotion running through Jackson, but he understands that he must stay composed.

“It’s a big game for me for a lot of reasons,” Jackson said. “But like I said, I can’t let the moment get too big and be selfish and do things out of my character outside the defense.”

Kickoff is set for 1:00 eastern time tomorrow.
