Jason Witten Doesn’t Care About Catch Streak Ending
See why Jason Witten isn’t worried about catch streak ending.
The Dallas Cowboys extended their league-best winning streak to 11 games last night against the Minnesota Vikings. However, it was far from easy as the Cowboys held on for a 17-15 victory in the weighing moments. As Jerry Jones ballclub looks to win their first Super Bowl in 20 years, tight end Jason Witten went the entire game without a catch.
This is significant since it’s the first time he went without a single catch in 130 games. Nonetheless, Witten has bigger aspirations than indiviaul accoalades at this point of his career.
“Those records really don’t mean anything,” Witten said. “I still have a lot of confidence in my ability and feel I can play at a high level. A big part of that is making catches. But it’s just one of those games. Those things happen. You go through it. It’s not on one particular situation. That’s just the way the game went. I’m thankful and excited to be 11-1, much more than having a catch.”
Something tells me Witten will haul in a catch next week.
