Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Lawson, Hargreaves or Stanley?

Behind last year’s No. 1 overall pick, Jameis Winston, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the rise. To continue this rise they need to solidify their offensive line and defense.

Shaq Lawson would be a great choice if the Buccaneers wanted to get a legitimate pass rush presence next to perennial Pro Bowler Gerald McCoy. Lawson plays with a ton of power to go along with sneaky athleticism, which allows him to have a ton of options when rushing the passer.

Vernon Hargreaves is a dynamic cornerback who could be a cornerstone piece for Tampa Bay’s defensive backfield. Hargreaves is unbelievably quick and fluid, which allows him to stick in the back pocket of receivers.

Selecting Ronnie Stanely would show that the Buccaneers would be doing everything they can to make life as easy as possible on Winston. Stanley is a dancing bear at offensive tackle with impressive footwork and pass protection skills.

New York Giants: Elliott, Stanley or Treadwell?

The New York Giants have seen the talent level on their team decrease significantly in the past few years, which makes this draft class vital.

Ezekiel Elliot would be a home-run selection as he would easily be the most talented player on the board. Elliot would give the Giants an elite running back, which would make life a lot easier on Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr.

The New York Giants tried to improve their protection on the edge last year with Ereck Flowers; however, that proved that it wasn’t enough as Manning was constantly under pressure. Picking Stanley would allow Flowers to move to his more natural position, right tackle, which would improve the play of the offensive line as a whole.

Laquon Treadwell has seen his stock fall as of late, but he is still an extremely talented player. He would be the perfect complement to Beckham and it would make the Giants offense one of the most feared in the league.

Chicago Bears: Rankins, Hargreaves or Robinson?

The Chicago Bears are in a weird spot as they aren’t bad enough to be terrible, but not good enough to make the playoffs. They need to improve their talent a ton throughout this offseason if they want to get to the playoffs.

Sheldon Rankins is an electric defensive tackle who would improve the interior defensive line. Rankins is equally as productive as a pass-rusher and run defender, which is exactly what the Bears need.

Vernon Hargreaves would be a value pick here if he were still available. The Florida cornerback is a catalytic player at cornerback and he would be a welcome addition to the Bears defense.

A’Shawn Robinson would help improve the Bears’ run defense as he is a big clogger in the middle. This would make life easier on the Bears’ linebackers and open up their defense to make more plays.

New Orleans Saints: Conklin, Rankins or Lawson?

The New Orleans Saints have a lot of holes on their team that need to be filled; therefore, it is paramount that they hit on their first-round pick, so they can make progress as a team.

Jack Conklin is a tough and mean offensive tackle who would be a great fit in the Saints’ offense. Conklin would be a great fit at right tackle for the Saints and he would go a long way toward making them a tougher team.

The Saints’ defense has been average at best as of late, and upgrading their defensive line would go a long way toward changing that fact. Sheldon Rankins would be a great fit to improve the interior defensive line. His quick hands and strong lower body would be a great addition. Shaq Lawson would improve the Saints’ ability to play the run and rush the passer off the edge.

Miami Dolphins: Lee, Apple or Jackson?

The Miami Dolphins have a lot of talent on their team, but they still have a couple of holes they need to fill before they take that next step.

Picking Darron Lee would give the Dolphins a dynamic weak-side linebacker who can make plays all over the field. Lee is an athletic freak who can line up almost anywhere on a defense.

Eli Apple is a long, tall and athletic cornerback who has some warts, but could develop into a lockdown cover cornerback for the Dolphins.

William Jackson III would be a fantastic get for the Dolphins at No. 13. He has he length, speed and ball skills to develop into the new age cornerback that so many teams are chasing nowadays.

Oakland Raiders: Jackson, Apple or Floyd?

The Oakland Raiders are on the rise as they have one the youngest and most talented teams in the NFL. Behind their dominant offensive line and great young stars, the Raiders have a chance to make the playoffs this year. They do need help in the secondary and they could always use another athletic pass-rusher to help out Khalil Mack and Bruce Irvin.

William Jackson III would be a perfect fit in the Raiders defense, which models itself after the Seattle Seahawks. Jackson can press and run with any receiver and he would thrive under defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr.

Eli Apple would be a great consolation prize of Jackson is gone by the No. 14 overall pick. He could thrive with the pattern-matching principles that the Raiders love to utilize.

If the Raiders decide to bolster their pass-rush even more, Leonard Floyd will likely be the best name left. Floyd is a light, but bendy pass-rusher who can bring serious speed off the edge.

Los Angeles Rams: Wentz or Goff?

The Los Angeles Rams just traded a kings ransom for the No. 1 overall pick; therefore, they most believe they are a quarterback away from being a playoff team. In this draft class, there are only two quarterbacks worth the No. 1 overall pick; Carson Wentz and Jared Goff.

Carson Wentz is the prototypical big and strong-armed quarterback who played in a pro-style offense in college. The North Dakota State product can make all the throws and he can do so with good timing and accuracy.

Goff, on the other hand, is the tall and skinny quarterback with a quick processor who is deadly accurate. He doesn’t have the arm to make some jaw-dropping throws, but his deep and intermediate accuracy are off the charts.

Detroit Lions: Conklin, Decker or Ragland?

The Detroit Lions are lacking an identity with the losses of Calvin Johnson and Ndamukong Suh in the last two years. This draft will give them an opportunity to instill the type of identity they want their team to have.

Jack Conklin would give the Lions a toughness up front, which would go through their entire team. Conklin doesn’t have the best footwork, but he is a mean and nasty blocker who could make it on grit alone.

Taylor Decker is similar to Conklin, but he has better length and footwork to go along with the impressive strength and power to move defenders off their spot. He would help improve the Lions’ run game and give Stafford an extra second to throw the ball.

If the Lions want to establish a physical mindset on defense, Reggie Ragland would be a great choice. He is a large linebacker who can bring the pain with his pads. His tough demeanor and leadership skills would be a great addition to the Lions defense.
