Ravens Lose Joe Flacco For The Season
The Baltimore Ravens will go the rest of the way with Matt Schaub as their quarterback.
The Baltimore Ravens have announced that quarterback Joe Flacco has torn his ACL and will miss the rest of the 2015 season.
The injury came at some point in the team’s 16-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams.
Flacco completed 27 of 44 throws, for 299 yards, with one touchdown in his final game of the year. There’s no telling if Flacco will be ready for the start of the 2016 season.
The win was costly on many fronts for Baltimore, as they also lost starting running back Justin Forsett with a broken arm.
There’s no timetable on Forsett’s return, but it could also be a season-ender.
The 3-7 Ravens will turn to backup quarterback Matt Schaub for the final six games of the season, as they are squarely in contention for the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
UPDATE: Justin Forsett will miss the rest of the season as well as Flacco.
