Reports: NFL investigating Cowboys’ Randle
The Sports Xchange
Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle, who will miss Sunday’s game due to an oblique injury, might face sanctions from the NFL for violating the personal-conduct policy, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
According to ESPN.com, NFL investigators spoke with Randle this week after talking with him during the summer.
Randle was arrested twice in the past year.
He received six months of probation after an October 2014 shoplifting incident in Frisco, Texas. He issued an apology and was fined by the Cowboys.
In February, Randle was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession following a police call related to a possible domestic violence incident. A police report indicated the Randle threatened the mother of his son with a gun, though those charges were dropped.
Through six games this season, Randle has 315 yards and four touchdowns on 76 carries. He also has 10 receptions for 86 yards.
Coach Jason Garrett announced Wednesday that Darren McFadden was replacing Randle as the starter. McFadden gained 152 yards on 29 carries Sunday against the New York Giants.
