Cowboys’ Bryant offers ‘great’ practice report
The Sports Xchange
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was feeling “great” after practicing with the team for the first team since he broke a bone in his right foot and pointing for a Sunday return against the Seattle Seahawks.
“Just know that I had a great day of practice,” Bryant said after Thursday’s session.
Offensive coordinator Scott Linehan concurred, saying Bryant “looked great.”
Bryant returned to practice on Wednesday and was able to participate in more team drills the following day. The two-Time Pro Bowl selection spent the previous two weeks rehabbing individually off the field after a bone scan showed the foot was healed from the injury he suffered in the season opener against the New York Giants in September.
“It’s premature to say he’ll play Sunday, but he’s on target to play this weekend if this continues,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Wednesday.
Seahawks All-Pro cornerback Richrad Sherman is hoping to see Bryant on the field Sunday.
“It’s a fun challenge when I’m asked to do it,” Sherman said, according to 710ESPN. “It’s fun playing football in general, but it’s a fun challenge to go out there and match up. It’s just fun going out there and challenging yourself every play.
“It would be a lot of fun. He’s a great player. We have had some pretty cool battles over four, five years. It’d be fun.”
