After a mediocre Week 4, I’m back to right the ship.  There are some games that can definitely go either way this week as well as some minor upsets brewing.

Chicago vs. Kansas City

Both teams are bad and both teams need to win the game desperately.  Both quarterbacks stink in completely different ways and both head coaches are better than the current rosters they are in charge of. With most things being equal, lets go with the home team. Chiefs 23, Bears 17. 

Seattle vs. Cincinnati

This is a big time game and if one quarterback wasn’t Andy Dalton I’d say this is a possible Super Bowl matchup.  The Seahawks are lucky to be 2-2 and their quarterback isn’t playing as well as his contract would suggest.  Cincinnati is playing better right now in October, Bengals 20, Seahawks 13. 

Washington vs. Atlanta

This game screams blowout in the dome, and the Redskins will struggle with the passing attack of the Falcons.  Don’t over think it, Falcons 31, Redskins 18.

Jacksonville vs. Tampa Bay

The losing coach of this game probably gets fired, maybe not on Monday, but at some point before the end of the NFL season.  Tampa has better talent, is healthier and are at home.  Jacksonville has a better coach, a better quarterback and they understand the urgency of the situation.  Jaguars 17, Bucs 13.  

New Orleans vs. Philadelphia

It’s time for Chip Kelly’s offense to get right, or he will be getting the pink slip.  The Saints defense struggles against everyone and the Eagles need to play more keep away instead of pace against an elite quarterback like Drew Brees.  It’s a bad matchup for Philly.  Saints 31, Eagles 27. 

Cleveland vs. Baltimore

Don’t the Ravens always win this game?  Ravens 24, Browns 13. 

St. Louis vs. Green Bay

If this game were being played at the Edward Jones Dome, the Rams would have a legitimate chance to be competitive.  It’s not, and nobody beats the Pack at home with Aaron Rodgers.  Packers 38, Rams 17. 

Buffalo vs. Tennessee

If the Bills are going to find a way into the playoffs this is a must-win game.  I don’t like Marcus Mariota’s chances against a Rex Ryan defense that features a great pass rush.  Bills 24, Titans 17. 

Arizona vs. Detroit

The Lions suffered another heartbreak while giving the defending NFC Champs all they could handle in their house.  Meanwhile, the Cards lost a home game against lowly St. Louis.  Upset special!!! Lions 23, Cardinals 20.

New England vs. Dallas

One team has Tom Brady at quarterback and the other has Brandon Weeden.  Who would you pick?  Patriots 45, Cowboys 10. 

Oakland vs. Denver

This is a measuring stick game for the Raiders as they are trying to prove their legitimacy.  Jack Del Rio has never fared well against Peyton Manning and that will continue.  Broncos 27, Raiders 14. 

San Francisco vs. New York Giants

The 49ers defense played well last week against Aaron Rodgers at home.  This trip across three time zones won’t bode well, as the Giants aim to finish the week in first place.  Giants 31, 49ers 20. 

Pittsburgh vs. San Diego

Quietly, Philip Rivers is having another great season.  Meanwhile, the Steelers are completely one-dimensional with Michael Vick, and offensive coordinator Todd Haley doesn’t have the wherewithal to devise a great scheme.  Chargers 24, Steelers 20.
