Bears elevate S Hurst, sign OL Seymour
The Sports Xchange
The Chicago Bears promoted safety Demontre Hurst from the practice squad to the active roster and signed guard-center Ryan Seymour to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Hurst is a veteran of 16 games and two starts for the Bears during the past two seasons, compiling 36 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble on defense and nine special teams tackles. As an undrafted rookie in 2013, Hurt spent the entire season on the Bears’ practice squad.
Seymour started three games at center and played in 11 games for the Cleveland Browns last season. He was a seventh-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2013.
