Buccaneers latest to cut kicker
The Sports Xchange
Add another name to the list of kickers looking for work: Kyle Brindza, who was released on Monday after missing three kicks for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Sunday’s loss.
Brindza missed two field goals and an extra point attempt Sunday against the Panthers and was 6 of 12 on field-goal attempts this season. He missed two PAT tries.
Brindza was acquired in August for tight end Tim Wright from the Detroit Lions. He edged out Pat Murray and Connor Barth during for the kicking job.
Murray and Barth, along with former Jaguars and Steelers kicker Josh Scobee, could be among the tryout invites this week.
