Bills will be without RB McCoy, WR Watkins
The Sports Xchange
The Buffalo Bills will be without running back LeSean McCoy and receiver Sammy Watkins when they play the New York Giants on Sunday.
Both players were ruled out by the club on Friday. McCoy is bothered by a hamstring injury and Watkins will sit with a calf injury.
McCoy has been ailing for more than a month and he vowed not to return until he is fully healthy. Even if that means he misses multiple games.
“One thing I promised myself is I can’t go out there if I’m not 100 percent,” McCoy told reporters. “So if it’s this game or next game, whenever it is, I’m rushing to get back but I’m not playing until I’m 100 percent.”
Watkins, in his second NFL season, will miss a game for the first time.
The Bills also have ruled out safety Aaron Williams (neck), guard John Miller (groin) and receiver Marquise Goodwin (ribs).
Buffalo promoted running back Cierre Wood from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and released defensive tackle Andre Fluellen.
