TEMPE, Ariz. — During their impressive 3-0 start, the Arizona Cardinals are rewriting team and NFL record books.

Some examples:

–The 40-point victory over the San Francisco 49ers was the Cardinals’ largest since beating Houston, 44-0, in 1970.

–The Cardinals are 3-0 for a second consecutive season. It’s the first time they did that since 1923-24.

–The Cardinals lead the NFL in scoring with 126 points, a franchise record for the first three games.

–The Cardinals’ 11 touchdowns in the first three games is the third highest total in NFL history.

–Ten different Cardinals have scored touchdowns. Six different defenders have intercepted at least one pass.

–The Cardinals are the only NFL team that has not trailed in a game this season.

–Under head coach Bruce Arians, the Cardinals scored 12 defensive touchdowns, most in the NFL in that three-season span.

–Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s five touchdowns are three more than he had all of last season. His career high is 13 in 2009.

–Quarterback Carson Palmer won his last nine starts with the Cardinals and 16 of his last 18.

But all the news is not good.

The Cardinals’ offense had difficulty dealing with crowd noise at home last week against the 49ers. Left tackle Jared Veldheer had two false starts, and right tackle Bobby Massie was beaten for a sack because he was late off the ball.

Arians blamed the problem on opposing fans who have way too many tickets.

But it also appears Cardinals fans need to adjust and be quieter when their team has the ball.

Notes: Wide receiver J.J. Nelson (shoulder) is expected to miss a second consecutive week. Brittan Golden moved up the depth chart to replace him as the fifth receiver, but had only one snap on offense. … Guard Mike Iupati (knee) is questionable to make his season debut this week. Iupati, who had the meniscus repaired, practiced on a limited basis the past two weeks. Ted Larsen continues to start in his place. … Running back Andre Ellington (knee) could return this week after missing two games. … Outside linebacker Alex Okafor (finger) is fine after suffering a dislocated finger against the 49ers. The joint was popped into place and Okafor won’t miss time.
