Giants WR Cruz cleared to practice
The Sports Xchange
A vital cog in New York’s offense is expected to finally make his 2015 debut when the Giants play the Bills on Oct. 4 in Buffalo.
Team doctors cleared wide receiver Victor Cruz to practice at full speed. And if all goes well this upcoming week, Cruz likely will see action in Week 4.
Cruz has been rehabbing from a strained calf. He also had surgery last season to repair a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee. He was on schedule recovering from that injury when he tweaked his calf and was forced to miss the first three games.
With the Giants being off until next weekend, Cruz will have plenty of time to run and test his calf.
“He’s running, and he’ll be running all weekend,” Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Friday.
