Buffalo Bills (1-1) at Miami Dolphins (1-1)

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, at SunLife Stadium, Miami Gardens, Fla. – TV: CBS

*TV announcers: Spero Dedes, Solomon Wilcots

*Keys to the game: The Bills tried to largely rush Tom Brady with only four defensive linemen last week and were burned for 466 passing yards and three touchdowns while New England virtually ignored its ground game. Miami has been quick to abandon the run as well and although Ryan Tannehill isn’t going to be confused for Brady anytime soon, Buffalo’s secondary is very vulnerable when the pass rush doesn’t get home. Tannehill did finish last week’s loss at Jacksonville with a bit of a gimpy ankle, and his blind-side protection is very concerning. Expect a slew of shorter drop-backs and underneath passes to get the ball out of his hands.

Bills first-year starting QB Tyrod Taylor has predictably mixed tantalizing big plays with inexperienced mistakes – including three interceptions last week. He was sacked eight times by the Patriots, and Taylor’s own struggling protection could be just the medicine the Dolphins’ high-priced but production-challenged defensive front needs. Miami has allowed 284 rushing yards and have just one sack. On the road in what can often be sweltering early-season conditions in Miami, former Florida State star RB Karlos Williams should see more touches to help keep LeSean McCoy fresh late into the game.

*Matchup to watch – Bills RDE Jerry Hughes vs. Dolphins LT Brandon Albert: Albert has already left the field three times in just two games to various injuries and has looked slow-footed when on the field. Backup Jason Fox has looked even worse. Hughes had a sack and a forced fumble last week and will see plenty of one-on-one time with Albert considering Buffalo’s other weapons along the D-Line.

*Player spotlight – Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh: Three tackles and no sacks through two games is not what the Dolphins envisioned with their $114 million commitment. Miami coaches disputed a report Suh was “freelancing” last week, and he should be motivated to break out against a poor Bills O-line.

*Fast facts: Taylor’s passer rating is above 100 in all quarters except the second, where he has a 71.2 rating with two of his three INTs on the season. … The Dolphins’ defense gave up six plays of 21-plus yards to Jacksonville last week.

WHO WILL WIN AND WHY

The Bills were flagged an astounding 25 times through two games, while the Dolphins picked up 12 yellow hankies of their own last week – including two that directly led to field goals in a three-point loss. Combined with underperforming defenses allowing far too many big plays, and it’s the team that can clean up its act that walks away 2-1.

*Our pick: Dolphins 23-20
