Report: Eagles cut Tebow
The Sports Xchange
The Philadelphia Eagles have released quarterback Tim Tebow among their moves to reduce the roster to 53 players by Saturday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline, according to ESPN.
Tebow, 28, had appeared to win the competition for the third quarterback job when Matt Barkley was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, but it was not immediately known if the Eagles intended to sign a quarterback behind starter Sam Bradford and backup Mark Sanchez.
Tebow played in all four of the Eagles’ preseason games, completing 21 of 36 passes with two touchdown passes and one interception.
