Buccaneers bring back K Barth
The Sports Xchange
Connor Barth was not out of a job for long.
Released earlier Wednesday by the Denver Broncos, the kicker quickly agreed to a deal to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The two-year contract is worth $2.75 million, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.
Barth, 29, spent four years in Tampa Bay before losing his job to the cheaper Pat Murray last year.
Barth spent the final five weeks of the 2014 season with the Broncos, hitting 15 of 16 (.938) field-goal attempts. He twice tied the team record with five field goals in a game.
Murray, a former Gaelic football player in Ireland, hit 20 of 24 field goals as a rookie in 2014. But he has missed two field goals and an extra point this preseason.
