The Sports Xchange
The San Francisco 49ers signed offensive lineman Ben Gottschalk to a two-year deal on Monday.
The team also signed kicker Corey Acosta and wide receiver Mario Hull to three-year deals and waived receiver Darius Davis and offensive tackle Chris Martin.
Gottschalk was not drafted out of Southern Methodist last year and spent brief stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers without playing in a game.
Acosta, undrafted free agent from Southern Mississippi, made 43 field goals, including 19 as a senior.
Hull is an undrafted free agent from Rice, where he caught 61 passes for 901 yards and eight touchdowns in three years. His best season came last year, when he caught 32 passes for 621 yards and eight touchdowns.
Davis had been signed as an undrafted free agent on May 5. Martin joined the practice squad on Dec. 10.
