The concerns elevated again Sunday, when Freese missed a 41-yard field goal wide left at the end of the first half of the Lions’ 19-7 win over Green Bay and the miss did not look particularly close.

For the second straight week, Lions coach Jim Caldwell also appeared noncommittal to Freese after the game.

“We have to evaluate and see where we are and see what the situation is,” Caldwell said. “We’ll do that pretty shortly.”
